No. He did that himself by aggressively progressing from some fun auto cross events to ice racing, to being more intense about ice racing which led to his crash. He is a car enthusiast that wants to make sure everyone is aware of that fact; and, as anyone who owns a race car or track day car, or auto cross car knows: racing is expensive. Cars are very expensive and if we do not take care of them they will bite us hard and cost us money in repair bills. This is the price of pleasure we all pay to play in the world of motor sports.

He is thankfully ok and uninjured from the crash, which is good because hopefully he will be able to repair his car soon and be back at racing as all true enthusiasts aspire to do.

Ha. No. I know nothing about him other than the self promotion he does here in oppositelock. He didn't listen to anyone else about the risks of wheel to wheel racing his daily driver on ice and has now paid for that mistake dearly. I'm sure he is in the process of tricking his insurance company in to believing that he was not ice racing which is why he is deleting all of his posts and videos about it.

Some lessons in life are harder to learn then others.

It was worth a shot. I think it's someone who spent a lot of time on Oppo/Jalopnik in the past and has come to resent the attitudes and preferences they once embraced. It's very cynical and I'm not a fan. I have my theories on who it might be but figured this would be a chance to get it from the horse's mouth, slim as it may be.
